So, when they set out to create their own workspace, they made sure every detail reflected their vision. This office isn’t just a place to work, it’s designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and well-being. While keeping some traditional office elements, they introduced innovation, sustainability, and ergonomic features to create a dynamic space where ideas flow.

The goal behind this project was to showcase India as a rising hub in architecture, design, and interiors. Every aspect of the office was planned to enhance employee productivity, wellness, and motivation, making it one of the most admired workspaces in the country. Completed in November 2022, this office was the vision of founder and CEO Vivek Agrawal. He wanted to build a space where people enjoy working, a place with soothing interiors, a pastel color scheme, and great lighting to create a positive atmosphere. "I wanted the office to feel uplifting and engaging, appealing to all the senses of those working here,"says Vivek Agrawal. Located on the 16th floor, the office overlooks the bustling skyline of Ahmedabad. Every design choice, from furniture to decor, was carefully curated by a talented team of designers, project managers, sourcing experts, and suppliers.

Modern Office Design Trends

Arcedior’s office embraces modern design trends, incorporating minimalism, an open-plan layout, and elements of biophilic design. With an open office concept, the workspace eliminates cubicles, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances communication, inclusivity, and productivity. This thoughtful design approach not only optimizes efficiency but also cultivates a dynamic and engaging workplace culture.

The neutral color palette beige, grey, navy blue, and earthy tones creates a sophisticated look. Jotun Paint ensured that there were no harmful fumes and made the walls have a velvety smooth finish.The use of bold artwork and furniture add vibrancy, making the space feel lively. The ceilings are kept at 11.5 feet which gives a sense of openness and grandeur. The partitions and doors, designed with slim 18mm profiles to have a 'Japandi' vibe, a blend of Japanese and Scandinavian styles. Using natural materials like wood, stone, and metal bring a touch of nature into the workspace, promoting a calming environment.

Smart Space Planning

To do full justice to the available office space, Arcedior did extensive space planning. This term has been widely used since recent times, which means to design the office in a way that impacts productivity, employee satisfaction, and overall business success. Space planning is crucial in transforming a space into the most efficient and appealing way possible, attracting clients, enhancing professionalism, and boosting employee morale. Keeping this in mind, Arcedior has used the space to satisfy all of the above in the most organic and effervescent manner.

• Conference Room: is a large space where meetings, team discussions, and brainstorming sessions are held. An LG commercial TV seamlessly integrated into a wooden panel for virtual and in-person discussions. This is especially useful for virtual meetings to feel like the clients are sitting in the room.
• Workstations: Open-floor plan with long desks seating four employees each, allowing personal space, good flow of communication and fostering teamwork.

• CEO’s Cabin: A modern workspace divided into a work desk and a lounge area for client meetings. It also has a hidden compartment at the bottom holds a small bed for quick power naps. It is tucked away in a manner that seamlessly blends with the office decor.
• Reception Area: A welcoming space with a comfortable blue sofa and a reception desk that reflects the brand’s identity.
• COO’s Cabin: A well-lit, smartly furnished space that maximizes its compact layout. Her office demonstrates how a small office can look bigger with the smart use of lighting and furniture.

• The office layout includes dedicated cabins and workstations, ensuring that different teams are strategically divided for a seamless workflow and smooth operations. Additionally, a multi-functional break room serves as a space for lunch breaks, casual activities, and private team discussions, fostering both relaxation and collaboration. Further enhancing convenience, the office features separate washrooms outfitted with Kohler's modern fittings, adding a touch of luxury and comfort. Prioritizing employee well-being, the pantry is equipped with premium appliances, including a Kangen Water Machine for purified hydration and a Siemens microwave oven for added convenience.

Furniture selection was based on four key factors: employee comfort, aesthetics, durability, and eco-friendliness.

• Storage & Bookshelves: One of the most eye-catching elements is the bookshelves and cabinets placed in the main cabins. Their sleek and seamless integration into the woodwork adds to the office’s refined aesthetic. Crafted from crown-cut ash oak dyed open-grain veneer, these pieces not only enhance the visual appeal but also the items displayed within them.
• Premium Finishes: To achieve a smooth and plush feel, Arcedior has incorporated ultra-premium Luvih and Fenix laminates, known for their luxurious appeal and durability. These high-end laminates are exceptionally scratch-resistant, ensuring that surfaces retain their pristine look for years to come.
• Workstations: Keeping employee health and wellness in mind, Arcedior opted for Greenply, an eco-friendly plywood that contains no harmful micro substances. The office’s signature golden and blue theme extends beyond decor and can even be seen in the furniture..
• Ergonomic Chairs: To ensure a relaxing and comfortable work environment, Arcedior has thoughtfully incorporated ergonomic chairs throughout the office. The adjustable chairs with back support ensure comfort, proper posture and reduce strain during long hours.

Lighting, Automation & Decor

At Arcedior, decor isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s the heart and soul of the workspace. Every detail has been carefully curated by the in-house design team to create an environment that’s both inspiring and functional.

The reception area instantly sets the tone with a striking world map, showcasing Arcedior’s roots in India. A gold ‘A’ is strategically placed on the countries where the company has made its mark, giving visitors and clients an immediate sense of its global presence. To bring in a touch of nature, indoor plants are thoughtfully placed throughout the office in stylish planters. Known for their ability to improve air quality and enhance well-being, these plants add a refreshing vibe to the workspace. Complementing this, air purifiers ensure clean, fresh air, prioritizing employees’ health in the long run.

Shruti Agrawal, who played a key role in shaping the office environment, shared her thoughts: "I wanted the office to have natural plants for their positivity and to create a comfortable space for my team, which was my top priority. I’ve also added a vision board with goals and a culture charter around the office to keep everyone motivated."

To make the workspace even more inviting, built-in speakers play soft, calming music throughout the day an approach backed by research to boost concentration and productivity. Since the office features high ceilings, the lighting has been carefully designed to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A combination of natural, task, ambient, and accent lighting ensures the perfect balance. Large windows bring in plenty of sunlight, while tall blinds help control brightness. The lighting is also human-centric, with a narrow 45° angle to prevent glare and enhance comfort.

Arcedior has taken its office design a step further by integrating KNX technology, allowing employees to control lighting, curtains, and doors effortlessly. The dimmable and tunable lighting system adjusts according to individual needs and even supports the human circadian rhythm—blending convenience with energy efficiency.
