The iconic Wire Lamp Range from the ‘Birdcage’ makers of a remote village in Rajasthan is a testament to the collaboration between the contemporary designs of Ayush Kasliwal at AnanTaya and the traditional artisans’ skill and adaptability. Using iron wire, a series of lamp shapes referencing cities of the Deccan Sultanates that ruled late medieval kingdoms, have been created. The balmy rays emitted through the lamps and their silhouettes, take you to the markets and streets of the city of Bijapur.
