Charles Sofa Bed by Milano Bedding

Charles is a sofa bed with curved backrest equipped with Lampolet mechanism, that allows to transform the sofa bed in a fast and easy way, without having to remove the cushions that remain fastened to the structure. By tipping over the backrest you can create an XL single, French double or standard double bed. Thanks to a 2 metres long mattress available in polyurethane, latex or with springs, this sofa bed is ideal to create a comfortable extra bed for your guests.
Other than being easy to open, Charles stands out for its shape and looks. Designed by Roberto de Lorenzo and presented at the 2016 Milan's Furniture Fair, it is characterised by lines recalling the 50s style. This old-fashion design is here proposed in a modern way, and enhanced with handcrafted quality details and fabric, eco-leather and leather covers available in a wide range of colours.

• Mechanism: high resistance furniture tube, oven coated with epoxy powders. Orthopaedic bed base with steamed beech plywood slats. Seat with elastic webbing. Mechanism opening an closing in one time.
• Standard mattress: 35 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane covered with 100% cotton fabric, quilted on top and bottom with 400 g/m² 100% polyester wadding.
• Structure: solid fir wood, poplar plywood. Backrest in high resistance furniture tube, oven coated with epoxy powders.
• Feet: polished aluminium.

  • Seat: 35 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane, covered with 280 g/m² thermo-bonded needled fibre and mm 2,5 quilted interliner.
  • Backrest: 21 Kg/m³ expanded polyurethane covered with 380 g/m² thermo-bonded needled fibre and mm 2,5 quilted interliner.
    Structure: 40 kg/m³ expanded polyurethane, 200 g/m² resin fibre combined with interliner.
