When lighting large paintings with strong frames, a large picture light is required for optical balance between the image and the light. Introducing “Maximus”, which can be adjusted to fit pictures with widths of several meters.An additional feature of using the “Maximus” for lighting paintings in museums is that it produces ambient lighting. Most of the light is directed towards the painting, however, some unavoidable stray light fills the room with an unnoticeable background brightness, which is good for our wellbeing.
