As the moon revolves around the Earth, it shows itself to us in various guises. This will highlight the seasons and the passage of the month.
The balance between light and dark in the month cycle defines a time of growth and a new start with the moon in the 'first quarter': spring.
The 'last quarter' represents the beginning of the end of the cycle, breaking down old structures and preparing the way for new structures: the rest.
This phenomenon and its graphic translation has inspired the design of the Moonrise Mirror. The round mirror is split into two semicircles, made of clear and colored mirror glass. The back is a handmade solid oak ring and offers a simple construction to hang the mirror in any desired position, matching the user's mood and needs.
