A special Sandook, or trunk, belonging to the spice route traders of Chettiyar community of Southern India, had beautiful metal hinges in a circular floral pattern that inspired the Sandook range. The simplest product in this range is a delicate bookmark with a silk tassel that doubles as a money clip. The circular floral pattern is repeated in the face of the bookend that doubles as a shelf. The Sandook motif anchors the scale that doubles as a bookmark. The pen stand, a filigree metal cup doubles as a candle holder.
