The 'Sandpaper Tray' is produced by a combination of dedicated craftsmanship and an industrial finishing process. First, the aluminum is sanded by hand in planes. Because each plane has its own direction and the planes overlap in some places, a balanced graphic pattern is created. After sanding, the tray is forced into its final shape and anodized for a strong colored top coat. The tray has a different appearance from every angle, because the light reflects differently in the sanded surfaces.
