The growth of branches, the design of a snow crystal, the path of a river. In nature, organisms and matter follow invisible rules, irregular geometries which, in their repetition on different scales, create living figures.
“frattali” is a family of ceramic vases, bowls and plates that takes inspiration from fractal structures. Each element is characterized by a hand-made engraving that is repeated along the surface of the object, constituting the path in which the copper oxide or crystalline then branch naturally, creating random and harmonious geometries.
The metal is distributed along the incisions in the clay, flowing in an uncontrolled and unpredictable way. Each object carries with it the sign of its passage, the living memory of the different behavior of the material.
Frattali is a collection developed for atipico, a series of engraved and decorated ceramics that represents a meeting point between a unique handmade piece and serial production.
